A second year of issue for this short lived Style of the Capped Bust $5, before the switch to the fat head style, this Mint State piece will surely be the highlight of a gold type set. Amazing luster remains with fantastic detail and a full strike, this coin even gains the green bean approval (CAC). Only 3/10 have gained approval at this level and 7 CAC coins remain finer. In relative terms to the series David Akers states, " Certainly it is much more rare in uncirculated condition than the 1807, 1809/8, 1810 Large Date, Large 5 or 1812." An example that could fit in a fine set, stand alone or join a type set.
